4-Step Tutorial: Capture & Paste Active Window

Step 1: Select & Focus the Active Window
Click anywhere on the title bar or inside the body of the application window you want to capture (e.g. a Web Browser tab, File Explorer window, Spreadsheet, or dialog box). Make sure its title bar is actively highlighted.

Step 2: Press Alt + PrtScn
Hold down the Alt key on the left or right side of your spacebar and press the PrtScn (Print Screen) key once. The screenshot of that exact window is immediately stored in your Windows Clipboard RAM memory.

Step 3: Open Your Target Application
Switch to or open the application where you want to send or edit the screenshot:
